The course “World Labor Market and International Migration” introduces students to the peculiarities of the development of the international labor market, as well as factors, trends and consequences of international migration, features of the formation of migration policy in the context of globalization. The course is based on the results of research. The course consists of 9 blocks (topics). Theoretical and practical issues are considered. The theoretical issues include theoretical aspects of the international labor market, the classification and typology of migration, the main theories explaining migration flows and their consequences. Applied questions concern various aspects of migration policy and migration regimes of Russia and various countries of the world, including procedures for obtaining a residence permit and citizenship, passport and visa systems, etc. The attention is paid to the research work of students who prepare research work on migration and migration policy on the example of one of the countries of the world. Test is provided as an intermediate form of student attestation.
