The course has three aspects: macroeconomic, micro-economic and the world economy. The most important problems, examined within the framework of the course, are the following: the fundamental characteristics of market economic system; role and functions of state under conditions of the market economy; demand, proposal and the markets for goods; the organization of owner's activity and the behavior of producers; production and expenses; imperfection of market and government control; markets for the factors of production and distribution of incomes; taxes and state expenditures; joint demand and factors determining it; joint proposal and economic growth.
