International development has recently become a crucial part of modern international relations. With the rise of globalization, development of a country stopped being its own internal problem. On the contrary, the way the world is interconnected nowadays suggests that any kind of development is only possible throught a full-scale cooperation with other actors in the international arena.

The focus will be made on the relations of developing and developed states in the international arena, their "modus operandi", peculiarities of the cooperation frameworks, specific examples and future capabilities.

On top of that the course suggests thorough study of the most prominent developing nations from different regions, that being Brazil, South Africa, India, China and many others. Their unique experiences are to be analysed in complex in-class discussions and then used on order to contrast with the theoretical basis of the international development problematics
